Credit Structuring Specialist

You will be involved in structuring, writing, and presenting complex credit proposals to internal stakeholders for approvals. You will develop new and update the existing lending products, as well as improve the credit processes.

You will structure, write and present credit proposals (new, modifications, and annual reviews where applicable) to internal stakeholders for approvals, and will meet clients with the front office, if required, to better understand their needs and improve the quality of the transaction structure being proposed. You will use credit as an enabler to attract AUM and trading income and will reduce risk on the bank’s balance sheet or improve client offerings, keeping in view client profiles and requirements. You will work in partnership with Risk, Operations and the Front office, implement the department’s mandate and identify training needs. You will also identify opportunities to streamline processes and increase operational efficiency in consultation with the departmental Head.

• Good degree from a reputable institution, preferably in Law, Business, Finance or Accounting
• Minimum 15 years of relevant work experience
• Strong understanding of financial products and services
• Track record of structuring, writing and presenting lending cases to internal stakeholders in relevant markets e.g. Asia, Middle East and Europe in Private Banking/ Wealth Management space
• Awareness of the legal and regulatory environment in key markets and how they affect structuring of lending transactions in the different markets. Well versed in legal structures used in key markets for obligors
• Strong exposure to writing business plans, product development plans
• Strong skills in analyzing financial statements
• Good interpersonal, communication and client interfacing skills
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment with a diversified client base
