About the job
You are an advanced professional in the systems & process design and implementation space with experience in Avaloq software and Wolters Kluwer OneSumXFRR regulatory reporting tool implementation projects.
Reporting to the APAC Head of Finance, you will solicit, understand and document the user’s business requirements, processes and workflows in order to develop both written and visual depictions of requirements and process flows. You will create the functional and technical specifications that meet those requirements, serve as a subject matter on those functions and work with business users to test the developed functionality.
Working closely with the business users through each stage of the development lifecycle and also demonstrating both existing and new functionality to the business user’s stakeholders, you will proactively identify and resolve problems and be responsible for recommending and instituting business and system analysis best practices, tools and methodology.
You will develop and maintain understanding of business user workflows and business needs to support. You will deliver precise functional specifications to include functional hierarchy, workflow, business rules, interface design and definitions, outstanding issues, data analysis, and data mapping to business users and development teams. You will be responsible for direct interaction with business users, business analyst including, but not limited to, eliciting comprehensive business requirements and use cases and recommending appropriate solutions.
You will gather requirements and help build and document specifications for development teams where necessary. You will also work with the Technical team to develop high-level labour estimates to develop and deploy functionality. You will conduct gap analysis between application and stated business users requirements and collaborate with the business analyst and developments teams to estimate project impact, if required. You will work with the business analyst, development teams and production support teams to communicate, verify, and test the desired functionality changes.
You will also work with the business users and business analyst to demonstrate the changes to the systems to ensure all relevant business needs are addressed. You will develop training materials and provide training in one-on-one or classroom environment, and manage multiple competing priorities through effective organization and communication. You will recommend and institute best practices and methodology and tools and be responsible for Avaloq Accounting rules (Booking/ Balancing), Profit Centre, Costs & Fees, Taxes (GST, etc).
You will be responsible for mapping and specification delivery for regulatory projects e.g. revised MAS610, etc., legal reporting e.g. Wolters Kluwer OneSumXFRR, etc., Head Office data warehouse delivery e.g. meeting new/ adhoc requests. You will also be involved in internal processes and procedures documentation; e.g. activity reporting, release notes etc.
Pre-requisites:
- Minimum Diploma in IT (Degree is preferred)
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge in accounting and the finance aspect of the Avaloq software will be a strong advantage
