About the job

You will be responsible for conducting/ reviewing and analysing the information procured, and ensure that Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) for new account opening and maintenance of existing accounts is in compliance with local regulations and the Bank’s procedure.

You will ensure that the KYC Due Diligence package for new onboarding and existing customers is completed accurately and in a timely manner, and ensure the proper procurement, maintenance and updates of KYC Due Diligence documentation and information in the bank’s system.

Familiar and proficient with KYC, AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering/ Combating the Financing of Terrorism) knowledge with high sensitivity to any legal, compliance and operational risks in order to escalate to relevant parties, you will maintain subject matter expertise in the KYC aspect and serve in an advisory capacity to make recommendations based on best practices.

You are a team player who is responsible and meticulous, as well as handle enquiries and liaise with relationship managers for issues associated with customer accounts. You also possess excellent analytical skills to review and analyse alerts and hits on customers’ data.

  • Experienced as a maker and checker in performing KYC on Non-Individuals
  • At least 5 years of work experience within Corporate Banking or an equivalent set up
  • Familiar with databases and tools such as World Check, Bankers Almanac & KYC Registry is preferred
  • Possess good understanding of the AML/KYC regulatory requirements of MAS
  • Familiar with corporate business, specifically syndicated deals and preferably project finance
  • Familiar with bankruptcy remote structures, business trust structures and nominee arrangements
  • Familiar with KYC for FI/ NBFIs
  • Experience with handling queries from the Senior Management and using MS Excel for MI reporting
