About the job

As Market Head, Malaysia, you are responsible for driving business growth and profitability across the Malaysian marketing teams, and building strong client relationships, while ensuring compliance and adhering to banking policies and regulations.

You will identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Malaysian market, and will develop and implement strategies to increase market share and client acquisition. You will manage and grow the existing client portfolios, and generate new leads and referrals.

You will build and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients, as well as understand client needs and provide tailored financial solutions. You will ensure excellent client service and satisfaction.

You will lead, mentor, and coach the marketing teams with the support of the Team Leaders and will set performance goals and provide regular feedback. You will foster a high-performing and collaborative team culture that celebrates learning, growth and achievements.

You will ensure compliance with all the relevant regulations and internal policies, and will manage and mitigate the risks associated with private banking activities whilst adhering to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures.

You will stay up-to-date with the latest financial products and services, as well as monitor performance and provide regular reports to the senior management. You will also analyse market trends and identify opportunities for growth.

Pre-requisites

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in finance, business, or a related field
  • Proven track record and experience in managing marketing teams in the private banking industry
  • Possess in-depth knowledge and experience in the Malaysian market and well connected with top bankers and clients
  • Strong leadership, people management, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of the financial markets, investment products, and banking regulations
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
